Hello. I am Jennifer Powell - a mother of 2 beautiful children and happily married to a man in the military. I provide "creative solutions" to your marketing, print, logo, and web design needs; as well as event planning, craft-like projects and other artistic mediums.

 

I have an extensive background in the Graphic Design & Marketing industry since 2005, after graduating from Coleman University in San Diego, California. For three years my position was Marketing Communications Specialist/Graphic Designer for a world leader of neuroimaging instrumentation. The first FDA approved device for this application, used in hospitals and universities for research and clinical trials. This position afforded me the opportunity to travel domestically and internationally while marketing this device to researchers and hospital administrators. My responsibilities included trade show coordination; collaborating with exhibition contractors, design and layout of marketing materials (brochure folders, trade show booth graphics, inserts, CD handouts, etc.),  Additionally, I developed and maintained the company web site, planned extensive international large scale events, and traveled to shows to work the exhibit booths.

 

After a wonderful three years with that company, I moved on in 2009 to work as the Marketing Assistant at a Design Build Remodeling firm in San Diego. There, I did portfolio upkeep, graphic design work, design award entry preparation, event planning, and web portfolio updates. I worked internally for the company for 3 years and for an additional 6 years, telecommuted from around the world while I accompanied my husband on his military orders. I now work as the Marketing Specialist and Graphic Design for a San Diego HR/Payrolling company where I have been learning so much more and getting the opportunity now to work in video production/editing. 
 

I pride myself on being a professional and have worked in many challenging environments with tough deadlines and exciting atmospheres. And being able to do what I love for a living is an even greater accomplishment.
